Talen Horton-Tucker is officially the new addition to Fenerbahce, as the Turkish club announced.

After 20 days, since it became known that Horton-Tucker had an agreement with the EuroLeague champions, the deal between the two sides became official with no favorable NBA offer being materialized for the player.

Per the press release: “Fenerbahçe Beko Men’s Basketball Team has reached a two-year deal with American guard Talen Horton-Tucker (2000, 1.93, G).

Born on November 25, 2000, in Chicago, Talen Horton-Tucker began his basketball career with the college team Iowa State in 2018.

Starting in 34 of 35 games in his first college season, Horton-Tucker averaged 11.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.3 steals. He also scored in double figures in 19 games and scored over 20 points in six of them. Talen decided to enter the NBA Draft in the summer of 2019 and was selected 46th overall by the Orlando Magic and was subsequently traded to the Los Angeles Lakers.

The successful guard, who spent the 2019-20 season with the Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA and the South Bay Lakers of the G-League, averaged 18.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.9 assists in 38 games in the G-League, and 5.7 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 1 assist in 6 games in the NBA. Horton-Tucker also won an NBA championship with the Lakers this season.

In the 2020-21 season, Horton-Tucker played in 65 games for the Los Angeles Lakers, averaging 9.0 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.8 assists, while in the 2021-22 season, he appeared in 60 games with the Lakers, averaging 10.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.7 assists.

Following a successful stint with the Lakers, Horton-Tucker moved to the Utah Jazz for the 2022-23 season, where he appeared in 65 games and averaged 10.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.8 assists. He also spent the 2023-24 season with the Jazz, appearing in 51 games and averaging 10.1 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 3.5 assists.

In five seasons with the Lakers and Jazz, Horton-Tucker played in 247 games, averaging 9.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 21.1 minutes per game, demonstrating a fairly consistent career. During this period, Horton-Tucker scored 20 points or more in 21 games and notched a double-double in eight.

The accomplished guard spent the 2024-25 season with the Chicago Bulls, averaging 6.5 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 58 games.

Despite his young age, Horton-Tucker, who has played 305 NBA games at guard, is known for his strong physique and ability to score and handle the ball.
