Panathinaikos had a spectacular performance in the second half against the Adelaide 36ers

Richaun Holmes posted 14 points and 10 rebounds in his debut with Panathinaikos Athens as the team beat the Adelaide 36ers 106-89 in the Final of the annual Pavlos Giannakopoulos tournament that was held in Australia this year.

Kendrick Nunn put up 26 points (4-7 triples for Panathinaikos and newcomer Nikos Rogkavopoulos had 14 points plus eight rebounds. Jerian Grant notched 11 points plus 10 assists while Dinos Dinos Mitoglou and Juancho Hernangomez also scored in double figures with 12 and 10 points respectively.

Former EuroLeague guard Bryce Cotton stood out from the Adelaide side with 24 points plus nine assists while Dejan Vasilijevic added 22 points. Their team led 47 – 39 halftime but Panathinaikos was unstoppable in the second half with 67 points to get the win.

In the other game that was held for the tournament Saturday (12/9), Partizan edged  Sydney Kings 93 – 90 behind 24 points by Jabari Parker.

18,000 people attended the last day of the tournament, held in Qudos Bank Arena.
