There have already been a few notable results overnight, as McCartney Kessler downed home player Han Shi 6-2, 7-6 (7-5) in Beijing, whilst Matteo Berrettini recorded his first win on tour since May with a dominant 6-4, 6-2 win against Jaume Munar.
Barbora Krejcikova begins her campaign at the WTA 1000 event in Beijing this morning against Anna Blinkova, while Denis Shapovalov and Frances Tiafoe will shortly take to the court in Tokyo.
