Tenshin Nasukawa vs Takuma Inoue for the WBC Bantamweight Title

The World Boxing Council has confirmed that Japan’s Tenshin Nasukawa will face compatriot Takuma Inoue for the vacant bantamweight world championship, on November 24 at the Toyota Arena in Tokyo, as part of the Prime Video Boxing 14 card.

The Green and Gold Belt became vacant after former champion Junto Nakatani decided to move up to the super bantamweight division.

Nasukawa, a former kickboxing star, turned professional in boxing in 2023 and quickly built an unbeaten record of 7–0 with 2 KOs, earning victories over experienced opponents Jason Moloney and Víctor Santillán.

While Takuma Inoue, younger brother of Naoya, became WBA bantamweight champion after defeating Liborio Solís in 2023. He successfully defended against Jerwin Ancajas and Sho Ishida before losing the title in 2024 to Seiya Tsutsumi.

The fight is generating huge anticipation in Japan: Nasukawa aims to establish himself as a global boxing star, while Inoue seeks to reclaim a championship and reaffirm his career. The winner will become the new WBC bantamweight champion.
