The day started off with a bang too as No. 23 Illinois topped No. 21 USC on a last-second field goal and No. 16 Georgia Tech needed OT to beat Wake Forest.

In the afternoon window, No. 1 Ohio State flexed on Washington, No. 9 Texas A&M held off a late rally by Auburn and Lane Kiffin made the gutsy call to go for it on fourth down late against No. 4 LSU to seal a win for No. 13 Ole Miss.

No. 6 Oregon at No. 3 Penn State, 7:30 p.m. ET (NBC)
If the Ducks pull the (slight) upset, they’ll have a fantastic chance of going undefeated through the regular season for a second straight year. The Nittany Lions haven’t needed Drew Allar to be excellent yet, but they will on Saturday.

No. 17 Alabama at No. 5 Georgia, 7:30 (ABC)
Alabama’s Week 1 loss to Florida State took some luster off this matchup, but it also makes it even more critical. Georgia’s defense will want to avoid a second straight shootout after what Alabama did to the Bulldogs in 2024.
