Week 4 of the NFL season is officially underway after the Seahawks beat the Cardinals on a walk-off field goal on Thursday Night Football, and now all attention turns to Sunday. The Washington Commanders are dealing with several big names on their injury report this week, and officially ruled out quarterback Jayden Daniels and Terry McLaurin on Friday.
That pair was supposed to represent the biggest inactives of the week … until the Pittsburgh Steelers ruled out Jaylen Warren on Sunday morning.
Warren, who came into the contest considered questionable due to a knee injury, apparently didn’t perform well enough in pre-game warmups. He was shockingly placed among the team’s inactives 90 minutes before kickoff Sunday.
With Warren sidelined, Kenny Gainwell could see an increased role against a tough Minnesota Vikings defense. Rookie running back Kaleb Johnson, who saw zero snaps in Week 3, could also see his usage increase with the news.

Other notable Week 4 injuries:
New York Giants standout wide receiver Malik Nabers and starting tight end Theo Johnson were both limited participants in Thursday’s practice, but Nabers came off the injury report Friday and is good to go against the Chargers. Nabers was dealing with a shoulder issue, while Johnson is working through a toe injury.
Despite being listed as questionable, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are expected to have the trio of Baker Mayfield, Tristan Wirfs and Chris Godwin available for Sunday’s meeting with the Philadelphia Eagles. Mayfield was limited this week with a right biceps injury; Wirfs has yet to play this season due to a a knee injury; and Godwin has been out since Week 7 of last season with an ankle injury.
