Marko Guduric is set to join team practice on Monday to work toward his first appearance with EA7 Emporio Armani Milan in the opening double-game week of the new EuroLeague Regular Season.

“He’s training tomorrow. If there are no unforeseen circumstances, he’ll come to Belgrade and make his debut on Tuesday,” mentioned head coach Ettore Messina following the Frecciarossa Supercoppa 2025 Final on Sunday.

Scarpette Rosse overpowered Germani Brescia, following an overtime win against fellow EuroLeague participant Virtus Bologna on Saturday, to capture the first domestic title of the 2025-26 journey. Besides 30-year-old Guduric, Armoni Brooks, Vlatko Cancar, Bryant Dunston, and Leonardo Tote were unavailable as well.

“The chemistry and cohesion weren’t there,” 65-year-old Messina referred to the preseason injury issues and previewed the expanded playing field of the EuroLeague, “We have a lot of players, we’ll rotate a lot, we’ll have to split the games, find balance. It won’t be easy, but it’s the key to the season. It will be the same for all the teams in the EuroLeague.”

Fresh off a EuroLeague championship with Fenerbahce Beko, the Serbian winger signed with Olimpia Milan during the offseason. He went on to represent his country in EuroBasket 2025, tallying 6.3 points per game over six appearances. Barring a setback, the next challenge begins in Serbia, with his new side facing Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet on Tuesday and Partizan Mozzart Bet on Thursday in Belgrade Arena.

Guduric is a veteran of 285 appearances in Europe’s premier club competition, spread between Fener and parent club Zvezda. Between two spells with the Istanbul outfit, he spent the 2019-20 season with the Memphis Grizzlies, logging 44 games played in the NBA.
