2025 World Cup: Explaining the second stage of the tournament

Open Men

With one round remaining for most of the sides, Australia remain unbeaten and will claim the top spot and a place in the Major Semi-Final. Their opposition will be New Zealand, provided they get past the USA in their fixture today.

Sri Lanka have a game in hand, one of them being against the US, and should secure one of the two minor semi-final spots alongside India. The intriguing match-up of the day will see the two Asian countries play against each other, with the winner taking confidence into their Minor Semi-Final match up, a repeat from 2022.

UAE play Singapore but it is a case of too little too late for the Emirates, and they will likely finish fifth and take an automatic semi-final spot in the Plate draw. England take on South Africa with the winner of that match securing sixth and the other automatic semi-final Plate spot.
