China Open 2025 semi-final – Amanda Anisimova vs Coco Gauff head-to-head record
This will be the third WTA meeting between Anisimova and Gauff, for whom the head-to-head record stands at one win apiece going into battle number three of the USA stars.
It has been three years since the U.S. pair from New Jersey and Florida, respectively, have faced off, their last matchup coming at Wimbledon 2022.
Just as she did in her Beijing quarter-final win against Paolini this week, Anisimova recovered from losing a first set tiebreak to win in three sets. The 24-year-old went on to reach the quarter-finals in south-west London, which stood as her best Grand Slam performance until this year’s two finals at Wimbledon and the US Open.
Gauff prevailed in the inaugural meeting at the Parma Ladies Open in 2021, a WTA 125 tournament in Italy where the Roland-Garros champion won in straight sets.
Having previously played on clay in Parma and on grass at Wimbledon, this will be a first senior match between the duo on hard courts.
