SPRINGFIELD, MO. – The Lindenwood Women’s Tennis team concluded their third and final team tournament of the Fall on Saturday in the two-day Missouri State Invite. 

Day one saw Fabiana Labrador and Paola Garcia pick up a win in doubles play in their second round match as they defeated Missouri State’s duo 6-1. Mathilde Humbert and Megan Caffin also picked up a second round doubles win over MSU by a score of 6-2. In singles play, Labrador, Garcia, and Humbert each picked up a win in their first round match.

On day two, Megan Caffin and Mathilde Humbert picked up their second doubles win of the invite, as they took down SEMO’s duo 7-5. Both Humbert and Caffin continued where they left off in doubles play, as Caffin picked up a singles win over Missouri State’s Leni Eichner 6-2, 6-2 and Humbert defeated SEMO’s Claudia Casas 6-1, 6-3. Paola Garcia, Fabiana Labrador, and Sofija Dunisijevic wrapped up their last matches of the invite with singles wins in round three. 

The Lions will be back in action at the ITA Regionals in Norman, Oklahoma on October 15-19.Â
