West Coast list boss Matt Clarke has given an update on a range of Eagles issues.

– The club has started dialogue with Brisbane on Brandon Starcevich – they “ideally” won’t give up Pick 16 in a trade for him. “He plays with an unbelievable hardness, he’s got great experience, he’s a really good culture guy.”

– Liam Ryan – “We’re happy to keep Liam. He’s not disgruntled with the club at all, and we’re not disgruntled the other way, either. We think he can really add to us. He’s contracted next year, so it will be up to St Kilda to come to us with something that’s sufficient.”

– Any indication on Oscar Allen compensation? “Nothing as yet… that’s up to Brisbane and when they lodge and what the offer is.”

– Tylar Young – both Eagles and Richmond not far apart on a deal. He’s a potential starting 23 player to give West Coast key-position defensive depth. “We’re really excited to have a guy of his size and stature play those roles and help our guys down back”.

– Campbell Chesser – Eagles and Carlton “a little bit apart” on a prospective deal.
