Two Russian YouTube channels, Wylsacom and Romancev768, have uploaded videos of what they claim is Apple’s unannounced M5 iPad Pro.Â
Wylsacom unboxes a space black variant of the M5 iPad Pro with 256GB of storage, while Romancev768 unboxes a silver variant with 512GB of storage. Both units, surprisingly, came in older packaging, with the front displaying a wallpaper Apple released with the M4 iPad Pro. Both iPads also miss the usual Apple text at the back, suggesting these may not be retail-ready units.
Branding oddities aside, the alleged M5 iPad Pro is hard to distinguish from the existing M4 iPad Pro externally. It sports the same sleek design, thin bezels, and a single primary rear camera.
One of the biggest M5 iPad Pro rumors going around has been the inclusion of two front cameras to support both landscape and portrait use cases. While Wylsacom’s video doesn’t mention it, Romancev768’s does. Notably, Wylsacom leaked the M4 MacBook Pro before Apple’s announcement, so the account does carry a positive track record.
Apart from that, both creators found that Apple has bumped the RAM for base storage variants from 8GB to 12GB.

They also ran CPU benchmarks, noting that the M5 iPad Pro delivers roughly 10% higher single-core performance and 15% higher multi-core performance when compared to the M4 iPad Pro. In Wylsacom’s GPU tests, the M5 unit got a score of 74,568, while the M4 scored 55,702.
We may not have to wait for too long to find out how accurate these rumors are. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple may release the M5 iPad Pro this month. That tracks with the company’s recent history; it has made hardware announcements during October over the last four years.
