Club will work to facilitate trade for 123-game winger.
Essendon is excited to confirm that Brayden Fiorini would like to play for the Bombers next season.
The Club will now work with the Gold Coast SUNS to facilitate a trade.
Although Fiorini entered this off-season as an unrestricted free agent, the Dons will opt to secure his services via trade, as to hold onto their compensation pick from Sam Draper’s departure.
A crafty winger who’s also shown his capability as an inside midfielder, Fiorini established himself as a consistent performer on the Gold Coast over 10 seasons and 123 games, averaging 20 touches over 18 appearances this year.
Fiorini appeared in each of the SUNS’ first two finals in Club history this year, cementing his spot in the side once again through a blistering run of form in the second half of the campaign.Â
His dominant 32-touch, one-goal effort against eventual premiers Brisbane in the round 20 QClash was a standout effort in a season that ranked among the 187cm talent’s best to date.
