Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James sparked speculation around the NBA world on Monday with a teaser video for an upcoming episode of what he called The Decision 2.

“The decision of all decisions,” James captioned a video of him sitting down for an on-court interview.

The full video will be released Tuesday at noon, according to James.

James announced he would be leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers to join the Miami Heat on the 2010 ESPN special The Decision.

The upcoming sequel to the episode sparked a variety of rumors as to what James’ next decision will be from fans and celebrities.

James is currently set to become the first player in NBA history to play a 23rd season when the Lakers tip off the 2025-26 campaign on Oct. 21 against the Golden State Warriors.

The Lakers star was held out of the start of training camp due to what head coach JJ Redick described as nerve irritation in his glute.

Redick also said the Lakers plan to take “a little bit longer of a ramp-up” when getting James ready for the 2025-26 season.

James, who will turn 41 in December, is heading into the campaign as the oldest active player in the NBA.

“He probably did too much last year in camp… he’s obviously got 22 years so far of wear and tear on the body,” Redick told reporters last Tuesday.

That “wear and tear” hasn’t stopped LeBron from remaining one of the NBA’s most reliable producers. He earned his 21st straight All-Star nod by averaging 24.4 points, 8.2 assists and 7.8 rebounds per game last season.

This marks the first time James and Luka Dončić, acquired from the Dallas Mavericks last February and extended by the Lakers this summer, are scheduled to start an NBA season together.

It remains to be seen if James will be finishing out the season with Dončić in Los Angeles, however. General manager Rob Pelinka said last week he “would love if LeBron’s story is to retire as a Laker,” but James is entering the season with an expiring contract and what his agent has said is a desire to compete for another NBA title.
