It certainly wasn’t the season that Caitlin Clark wanted or for her team that fell just short of the WNBA Finals despite her absence.

But what a run for the Indiana Fever without Clark and Sophie Cunningham! Maybe it was Clark’s street clothes that were a good-luck charm, but it’s more likely that the Fever played such a terrific postseason. With Clark back healthy next season? I’d imagine that’d help even more.

Amid the controversy that swirled over alleged Cathy Engelbert comments about Clark before the Las Vegas Aces eliminated the Fever, the injured superstar instead chose to focus on her team and the fans in a post on X (formerly Twitter):
