PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Providence College women’s tennis team defeated Assumption University, 6-1, in a dual match played at the Providence College Tennis Courts on Tuesday (Oct. 7).
The Friars swept all three doubles matches to secure the opening doubles point. The duos of Flora Eidson/Allison Root, Sophie Ahlberg/Camila Barrera and Erika Beltran/Gabriella Plonowski accounted for the doubles wins. In singles play, Providence claimed five of six matches to secure a 6-1 overall victory. Eidson, Ahlberg, Root, Audrey Magnusen and Lauren Krise earned convincing victories for the Friars.
