As Orville Peck wraps his first onscreen role in director Kitao Sakurai’s Street Fighter, he’s ready to get back to making music.

The Stampede artist, who plays Vega in the live-action arcade adaptation from Legendary Entertainment, marked his final day of filming the movie in Australia on Saturday with some behind-the-scenes photos.

“My two months in Australia making the @streetfightermovie have come to an end. This experience brought me so many unforgettable memories, challenges and above all, a cast & crew that I love to death,” he captioned the Instagram post.

“The amount of hard work, commitment, laughter and tears that went into this film will probably only ever fully be known to us – but I can’t wait for the world to see the magic and integrity we set out to create on set every day,” added Peck. “Time for this spotted horse to get back to my music and hanging with my dog but until October 2026 – mama, that’s a hadouken.”

Following his Broadway debut run as the Emcee in the recent revival of Cabaret, Deadline reported in June that Peck joined the cast of Street Fighter.

Written by Dalan Musson, the cast also includes Andrew Koji, Jason Momoa, Noah Centineo, Roman Reigns, Rayna Vallandingham, Olivier Richters, Mel Jarnson, Eric André, Hirooki Goto, Vidyut Jammwal, David Dastmalchian, Callina Liang, Andrew Schulz, Cody Rhodes and Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson.

Launched in 1987, Street Fighter is a series of fighting games revolving around intense one-on-one battles between a diverse lineup of martial artists. The games often center around a global fighting tournament organized by M. Bison, the leader of the evil organization Shadaloo. The game has sold north of 55 million units around the world since launch.
