ACA, The Block and an Olympics special scored for Nine, while a travel show was best for SBS, even above news.

The Block had a rare Thursday episode due to the NRL Grand Final on Sunday bumping everything by a day.

It drew 1.11m viewers in National TV Audience.

That challenged 7:30 (706,000), Back Roads (547,000) and Gogglebox (522,000).

Nine’s run continued with Sydney 2000: The Best Ever led with 490,000 then Grand Designs NZ (442,000), Jim Jefferies and Friends (330,000) and The Office Australia (212,000).

Nine won Thursday.

Nine News drew 1.24m then A Current Affair (1.01m) and Tipping Point (708,000).

But Seven News inched for the win at 1.26m. A triple Home & Away play was 841,000 / 764,000 / 728,000 with The Chase at 586,000. The Amazing Race drew 127,000.

ABC News pulled 908,000. Hard Quiz was 332,000 then Mystery Road: Origin (151,000) and Spicks & Specks (146,000).

10 News drew 260,000 then Law & Order: SVU (152,000) but 10 News+ and Deal or No Deal both flopped at 105,000.

Scandinavia with Simon Reeve led for SBS at 182,000 then SBS World News (169,000 / 132,000), Eurostar: Minding the Gap (129,000),  Mastermind (85,000) and Blue Lights (83,000).

The Morning Show: 240,000 /144,000
Today Extra: 161,000 / 104,000
