Driver Dave Casey has managed to walk away from a remarkable crash where his Mitsubishi ute rolled multiple times before coming to a stop on the Bathurst racetrack.
Casey got a nudge from behind that sent him off track at Murray’s Corner, where he hit the sand trap forcing his Triton to go over.

The most remarkable part of the SuperUtes crash? Casey was able to simply start his battered ute back up and drive off the track as emergency crews got to his aid.
“Such a small little bump with a massive end result … he’s walked away. He’s safe,” Craig Dondas said.
“He might just brush that mullet as well and get it nice-looking.”
The fact his Triton is fitted with Perspex for the front windscreen instead of glass helped the 34-year-old escape injury.
“No glass shatter is a great thing,” Dondas said.
“At times back in the day if you run a glass windscreen you might get a couple of cuts and so-forth.”
While the barrel roll looked incredible, it’s unlikely we’ll see Casey back out in the field for this afternoon’s SuperUte races.

KOSTECKI AIMS FOR SUPERCARS HISTORY
Reigning Bathurst champion Brodie Kostecki has put Shell V-Power Racing on provisional pole for Sunday’s 1000-kilometre epic – but he’s still unhappy over what he claims is a lack of parity progress.
Kostecki claimed the tightest qualifying finish in Bathurst 1000 history where just 0.2 seconds separated first and 10th.
But speaking after he claimed provisional pole over Broc Feeney by just 0.006 seconds, Kostecki was clearly unhappy with the Dick Johnson Racing’s Mustang chances.
“We need to get our upgrade to fix the deficit to the Camaro’s – 2k’s an hour on average and it’s a bit disappointing nothing’s been done about it after a report’s been published. It’s just cr*p,” he said.
When reporter Chad Neylon said he’d play “devil’s advocate” and argue Kostecki had the fastest car on Friday, the DJR star replied: “Doesn’t matter”.
Brodie doubles down on parity complaint | 00:48
“The system’s pretty flawed – the best way to put it is… it’s like a footy grand final, points are tied and there’s a free kick and you have to ask the other side to miss the free kick to win the grand final. It’s pretty disappointing for everyone that’s on the Ford side,” he claimed.
“It’s going to make it incredibly difficult come Sunday.
“We’re doing the best job we can with what we’ve got.”
Qualifying results show there’s an even five car split for Camaros and Mustangs in today’s Shootout.

Despite his pace gripes, should the 27-year-old nail his hot lap later today he’ll become the first driver in history to claim three straight pole positions from a Top 10 Shootout.
On Friday, Kostecki broke his own Gen3 qualifying record, with his 2:04.0307 final lap ensuring he’ll be the last man out in that Shootout.
“We’ve checked another box. We’ve gotta get through Saturday and just make it to Sunday,” he said.
Thomas Randle will be the first man out in Saturday’s Shootout from 5.05pm AEDT, followed by Nick Percat, Cam Hill, Cam Waters, Chaz Mostert and Cooper Murray.
Anton de Pasquale will then tackle the mountain, with Ryan Wood and Broc Feeney the two drivers before Kostecki.
One of the biggest names to miss the Shootout is reigning series champion Will Brown.

The Red Bull Racing star could only manage 12th – but was just 0.0705 seconds off a Shootout berth.
“Unfortunately we just didn’t have the pace. It’s tight out there, two tenths to pole,” he said.
“Everyone’s doing such a good job and unfortunately we were just really on the wrong side of the top 10.”
