As Sam mentioned, the Brewers were a perfect 6-0 against the loaded Dodgers this season, sweeping them in two three-game series in July in both Milwaukee and Los Angeles.
The Dodgers, however, have defeated the Brewers in each of their last two postseason meetings. The most memorable is a thrilling seven-game NLCS in 2018 that happened under similar circumstances — just like this year, the Brewers had the best regular-season record in the National League, while the Dodgers were the defending pennant winners. Los Angeles won by taking the decisive Game 7 in Milwaukee behind a Yasiel Puig three-run home run.
The Dodgers also swept the Brewers a best-of-3 series to open the expanded 2020 playoffs, which the Brewers entered at a record below .500.
