Kristin Cabot Resigns from Astronomer Following Coldplay Kiss Cam Scandal originally appeared on Parade.
Kristin Cabot has resigned as Chief People Office of Astronomer exactly one week after her kiss cam moment with Astronomer CEO Andy Byron took the internet by storm.
In a statement to Us Weekly, a spokesperson for the company confirmed Cabot’s resignation on Thursday, July 24.
“Kristin Cabot is no longer with Astronomer,” the spokesperson said. “She has resigned.”
The news comes days after Byron also resigned from the company, which was announced Saturday, July 19 by Astronomer via X.
“As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met.” the statement read.
“Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted. The Board will begin a search for our next Chief Executive as Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy continues to serve as interim CEO.” the statement continued.
The statement concluded, “Before this week, we were known as a pioneer in the DataOps space, helping data teams power everything from modern analytics to production AI. While awareness of our company may have changed overnight, our product and our work for our customers have not. We’re continuing to do what we do best: helping our customers with their toughest data and AI problems.”

Byron and Cabot went viral following Coldplay’s concert in Boston on Wednesday, July 16. During the band’s “Kiss Cam” segment, a camera panned to what appeared to be the pair in each other’s arms. But once they realized they were on the big screen, the duo broke apart, each of them hiding their faces.
The audience could be heard laughing and cheering as Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin joked from the stage, “Either they’re having an affair, or they are just very shy.”
The “Kiss Cam Couple” was quickly identified as Byron and Cabot, who are both reportedly married to other people.
