As you know, MMAmania.com churns out a ridiculous amount of stories weekly. And if you don’t refresh this site constantly, you might just miss an amazing story. Or, if you don’t go read the comments section on each story, you might miss a wisecrack that will leave you LOL’ing.
But, don’t trip — we’ve got you covered. This weekly article will recap the best of MMAmania.com, reviewing the most-read stories, comments, social media posts, etc.
So, sit back and take a gander at the madness of the week that was …
Last week, the story that got the most eyeballs was the possibility of Ronda Rousey returning to mixed martial arts (MMA) after being retired for several years.
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – OCTOBER 04: Magomed Ankalaev looks on prior to a light heavyweight title bout against Alex Pereira of Brazil in UFC 320: Ankalaev vs Pereira 2 at T-Mobile Arena on October 04, 2025 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Photo by Sean M. Haffey/Getty Images) Getty Images
Former Light Heavyweight champion Magomed Ankalaev had footage leaked of him having his broken ribs checked three weeks before UFC 320, and … everyone was questioning the motivation.
What a crew (even though Jon Jones is apparently un-retired).

Fighter ‘Comment of the Week’ — He said what?!?!?!
BKFC superstar Mike Perry wants to fight on the upcoming UFC White House card! But he wants $2 million.
Did you know that Big John McCarthy is returning to refereeing?
Shoutout to The_Citadel for pointing it out.

Now this is a nasty knee.
Best ‘Prediction of the Week’
Since no one really shared their bets or predictions this week, I’m just going to assume The_Citadel hit this juicy bet.

Random ‘Stat of the Week’
Charles Oliveira has never lost a fight in Brazil (18-0).
Fight Announcement of the Week:
Madison Square Garden is getting a stacked card with UFC 322 — and this week, it was announced that Malcolm Wellmaker is joining the lineup.
This Past Week in MMA History:
The biggest pay-per-view (PPV) in UFC history, UFC 229, went down 7 years ago, and it was memorable for many reasons — obviously because Khabib Nurmagomedov tapped Conor McGregor and then the post-fight brawl.
On the same card, Tony Ferguson beat Anthony Pettis via doctor stoppage — to set up a fight with Khabib … that never happened. Pain.
Derrick Lewis also dropped his most famous line.
A year before UFC 217, Ferguson won the UFC interim Lightweight title by tapping out Kevin Lee.
In the co-main event, Demetrious Johnson landed one of the best submissions in UFC history on Ray Borg.
UFC 55: Fury – Oct. 7, 2005
Andrei Arlovski defended his Heavyweight title by starching Paul Buentello in 15 seconds.
Frankie Edgar put a stamp on his trilogy with Gray Maynard by knocking him out in the fourth round.
UFC Fight Island 5 – Oct. 11, 2020
It has been five years since Joaquin Buckley landed one of the best knockouts in UFC history.
