Kangaroos coach Kevin Walters denied his links to Queensland and the Broncos will factor into his selections for the national team for the first Ashes Test.
Australian players departed on a 6am Emirates flight to London’s Heathrow Airport via a three-hour stop-over in Dubai on Wednesday.
The Kangaroos will play England in the first Ashes Test at Wembley on October 25, before playing at Everton Stadium on November 1 and Headingley on November 8.

Walters spoke to media before jetting out of the country and reaffirmed his committment to not base his selections on state lines.
With the Broncos winning the NRL grand final and the Maroons scoring a come from behind series victory in State of Origin, Queensland players will undoubtedly be well represented in the Kangaroos.
Before the squad was picked, Broncos fullback Reece Walsh was earmarked to get the nod ahead of Penrith’sd Dylan Edwards for the fullback role.
With a man of the match performance in the NRL decider, Walsh is expected to be handed the No.1 role.
There are several other positions with question marks over them but Walters insisted he won’t be swayed by prior links to players.

“That’s not a problem for me,” Walters said.
“I have actually worked with the Australian team before with Ricky Stuart, so I got a bit of a sniff there with his environment.

“I’ve been on touring teams as well. We’re a great country and we play like a great country.”
Among the other selections that will garner attention is the battle to start in the halves with incumbents Tom Deardon and Mitch Moses, who starred for the Kangaroos in last year’s Pacific Championships final triumph over Tonga.
Cameron Munster and the Raiders Ethan Strange will also compete for a halves spot, while Nathan Cleary is also in the mix.
“That’s part of the plan to get some extra numbers … to make sure that we take our best players to England,” Walters said.
“It’s hard, but a good problem to have.
“Obviously we’ve got talent across every position.”
