One fun thing about being on the shorter side is that any top or sweater comes down to your mid-thighs and can instantly be transformed into a cute ‘lil minidress. Just take Sabrina Carpenter‘s latest look. The singer, who is, famously, short n’ sweet at just under five feet tall, slipped into a thick knit sweater and skipped the pants.
The butter yellow sweater looked like something straight out of a cozy rom-com: it featured a wide rolled boat neck, which revealed one shoulder, a cable knit pattern, and a slouchy fit. She went full monochrome, pairing the sweater with matching thick knit socks, which she wore under sparkly open-toe heels. She completed the look with a bright yellow handbag.

Carpenter is known to enjoy a pantsless moment. At this year’s Met Gala, the singer rocked a burgundy tailored bodysuit with no pants designed by Pharrell of of Louis Vuitton. “I’m such a massive fan of Pharrell’s and had been to the show and was just like, ‘If I could go this year with him that would be my dream,’ and it came true,” Carpenter explained on the red carpet interview, adding, “He was like, ‘You’re short so no pants for you!’ So here we are.”
And it seems Carpenter has stuck to the “no pants for you” motto since then. At Paris Fashion Week in June, Carpenter once again ditched her pants, this time for the Louis Vuitton show. She rocked a white blazer as a minidress and paired it with a white bag and white pumps.
Then, in September, Carpenter went pantsless during her Britney Spears-coded VMAs performance wearing nothing but sheer nylons with her fringed bra.
