In this new series, we’ll be celebrating the best of our 90-Year Anniversary – from our Club events to our record-breaking crowds and best performances – these are the moments that made 2025.
July 4 proved to be one of the most historic nights in the Club’s 90-year history, as our inaugural NRLW side took the field for their very-first match in a double header alongside their NRL counterparts at Accor Stadium.

NRLW Highlights: Bulldogs vs Knights – Round 1, 2025
Up against the Newcastle Knights, who had taken out the 2023 and 2024 NRLW Premierships, Brayden Wiliame’s side certainly had a challenge in front of them in their Round 1 match up.
While the Knights drew first blood after a competitive opening exchange, the fledgling Bulldogs continued to press forward.
While a number of attempts to score were held up, it was third time lucky after a classy offload from fullback Andie Robinson put centre Moana Courtenay over for the side’s very first try.

Here Come the NRLW Bulldogs!
Soon enough, Canterbury found themselves in the lead at the break 10-6, with five-eighth Ashleigh Quinlan swerving through to score her first try in Blue and White.
Forward duo Angelina Teakaraanga-Katoa and Alexis Tauaneai wreaked havoc in the middle of the field, with the former next to touch down after pouncing on a wicked grubber from fellow Co-Captain Tayla Preston.
The footy gods were smiling down on the Bulldogs with another great bounce landing in the arms of Shaniece Monschau, who put Courtenay over for her second of the night.
Although Newcastle hit back, the match was all but won when Quinlan crossed from dummy half to seal the 26-12 victory, putting the cherry on top of one of the great nights in Bulldogs history.
