Tech company Nothing has its own sub-brand called CMF with cheaper alternatives, and it just launched a new $99 smartwatch. The CMF Watch 3 Pro is more expensive than its predecessor, but it packs more features than Nothing’s previous wearables.

Health tracking is the focus here. There are now 131 different sport modes, and the watch comes with an AI coach that gives you post-workout summaries and guidance on how to improve in the future. These appear to be mostly focused on running, with a key feature being endurance predictions for 5K and 10K races.

There’s also ChatGPT integration; when your smartphone is nearby, you can ask OpenAI’s chatbot to answer questions. The brand hasn’t clarified whether you need to have a Nothing or CMF phone for this to work, as was the case for the CMF Watch 2 Pro.

A new heart rate sensor offers improved accuracy “across all skin tones and workout intensities,” Nothing says. GPS tracking is also more accurate thanks to a dual-band system.

The watch is IP68 water and dust resistant and should last 13 days with “typical” use. That’s an extra two days compared with its estimates for the Watch 2 Pro. The new device recharges in 99 minutes.

On the downside, the company dropped its swappable bezel design for this iteration. As spotted by The Verge, that’s likely due to the increase in display size from a 1.43-inch AMOLED always-on display compared with the 1.32-inch one on the Watch 2 Pro.

The watch comes in three colors: CMF’s signature Orange alongside Light Gray and Dark Gray.

This has resulted in a price increase in the US, from $69 for the Watch 2 Pro to $99 as a base price. However, Nothing is running a deal for $79, but it’s unclear how long that will last.
