Ryan Wohl gives his picks for this week’s UFC Fight Night in Vancouver featuring a Main Event matchup between Reinier de Ridder and Brendan Allen.
For the second time this year, the UFC is returning to Canada! In May, they hosted UFC 315 in Montreal. This time, they are in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, for a UFC Fight Night headlined by an elite Middleweight matchup between No. 4 Reinier de Ridder vs. No. 9 Brendan Allen.
The Prelims begin at 4:00 p.m. ET, with the Main Card starting at 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN+. Check out my favorite fighters to add to your daily fantasy lineup for Saturday’s UFC Fight Night.

Reinier de Ridder ($8,800)
Reinier de Ridder’s UFC career has gotten off to a perfect start. He is 4-0 with three finishes in the last 11 months and is coming off a victory against former 185-pound champion Robert Whittaker. During that stretch, RDR has also been an elite fantasy contributor, averaging 109.7 fantasy points per contest. Although he is averaging the second most points per fight on this card, RDR is still only the seventh highest priced fighter on this card.
Yes, RDR has another tough fighter in his path to challenge for UFC gold, but he has all the tools to continue his winning streak in the UFC. De Ridder is the bigger fighter in this bout as he is taller (6’4″ vs. 6’2″) with a three-inch reach advantage (78″ vs. 75″).
De Ridder is a well-rounded fighter who excels at both striking and taking opponents down. Allen lands more significant strikes (3.85 vs. 2.95) at a better rate (53% vs. 52%). But on the ground, RDR averages 1.21 more takedowns per 15 minutes than Allen. Even though RDR has held gold in another organization, he has consistently demonstrated improvement in each fight he has had. This is another great opportunity to get De Ridder at $8,800, as his price tag will likely be at least $9,000 if he continues to excel.
Marlon Vera ($7,700)
From 2020 to 2022, Marlon “Chito” Vera won four straight fights with two wins over former UFC Champions. However, he has gone 1-3 in his last four bouts, with his most recent win coming in August 2023 at UFC 292. Good news for “Chito” is that he hasn’t suffered three consecutive losses in his MMA career.
Vera now faces No. 9 Aiemann Zahabi, who is talented but doesn’t have the championship pedigree as Vera’s previous opponents. Zahabi has won six straight fights, with his last loss coming in 2019. Even though Zahabi is on a good run, this is an excellent opportunity for “Chito” to get back on track.
Although Vera has scored 24 and 36 fantasy points in his last two fights, he recorded 86-plus points in five of the previous six contests before his recent losing streak. Getting Vera at $7,700 is a good value considering the upside he possesses. Both fighters are 5’8″ with Vera having a two-inch edge in standing reach (70″ vs. 68″). Vera is the more accurate fighter, but a problem for him lately has been his output. If Vera has a fast start and presses Zahabi, he has a chance to be a difference maker for fantasy lineups.
Jasmine Jasudavicius ($7,300)
No. 5 Jasmine Jasudavicius is facing No. 2 Manon Fiorot in a Women’s Flyweight bout. Even though Jasudavicius is 36 years old, she has won five consecutive fights, which is her longest career winning streak. Her opponent, Fiorot, challenged for the title at UFC 315 in May. Before her recent loss, Fiorot won 12 straight bouts.
In this contest, Jasudavicius is only $7,300, the sixth-lowest-priced fighter on this card. However, that doesn’t accurately reflect her recent performances. Jasudavicius has recorded 102-plus points in four of her last five outings, with her lowest being 91 points in that span.
Yes, Jasudavicius is facing an extremely talented opponent, but she possesses all the tools to win this fight, making her a potentially lineup-winning fighter. Jasudavicius has a three-inch edge in reach while both fighters are 5’7″. Fiorot does land nearly two more significant strikes per minute (5.58 vs. 3.71), but Jasudavicius is more accurate (45% vs. 41%). Even though Fiorot has an 87 percent takedown defense, Valentina Shevchenko took her down twice in her last fight.
Jasudavicius must be relentless with her takedown attempts while not allowing Fiorot to control the contest on the feet. If she is aggressive and brings the fight to Fiorot, Jasudavicius should be able to put together an elite performance.
