The extended team lists for the first-ever game of the North
vs South Women’s Series at Southern Lions RUFC on Sunday have been confirmed.
The three-game women’s pathway series is geared towards
identifying and developing the top female talent across Western Australia,
providing meaningful and high-quality match opportunities with a view to
transitioning into the Force’s 2026 Super Rugby Women’s side.
The seven Fortescue Women’s Premier Grade clubs have been
split into two regions, with Wests Scarborough, Wanneroo and UWA representing
the North and Palmyra, Southern Lions, Kalamunda and Cottesloe representing the
South.

Experienced Kalamunda lock Libya Teepa will captain South,
with Wallaroos scrum-half Sammy Wood – who recently returned from playing at
the Women’s Rugby World Cup – to provide support as vice-captain.
Wanneroo duo Alapeta Ngauamo and Ngamihi Monk will act as
co-captains for North, who boast nine starters from the Divaz’ 2025 Fortescue Premier
Grade winning side.
The South starting line-up includes Wallaroos Hera-Barb
Malcolm Heke and Wood, plus Aussie 7s talent Ella Fountaine and 2025 Sue Roberts
Trophy winner Nicole Ross (Southern Lions), with runner-up Vesinia Schaaf-Taufa
(Palmyra) among the finishers.
The North starting XV features Wallaroos Ngauamo and Sera
Naiqama, plus Wanneroo’s young premiership captain Sofaia Talemaira, with 2025
Grand Final Player of the Match Bella Houghton (Wests Scarborough) among the
finishers.
Sunday’s Game 1 commences at 3pm at Southern Lions RUFC’s
Success Regional Sporting Facility, as part of a double-header alongside the
Western Force taking on the Queensland Reds in the Super Rugby Men’s U16s from
1pm on Sunday 19 October. Entry is free.
The North vs South Women’s Series won’t be live streamed but
