Maggie Lindemann has officially shared her sophomore album i feel everything with the world and she did not disappoint.

The album includes the singles “one of the ones,” “spine” and “2022,” which is a collaboration with Julia Wolf. These tracks tracks helped to get fans excited for the album as they introduced us to the story that Lindemann was going to tell throughout the project.

“one of the ones” immediately gives the idea of being self-aware as Lindemann calls out the emotional walls she has put up. This gives a personal yet universal feeling to the song, while also comparing the concept of the chaos that surrounds something short-term with the possible fear of genuine connections.

She follows up the lead single with “spine,” in which she shows she has no interest in soft landings. She displays a sense of directness while expressing she’s fed up with the whole situation. She uses her powerful lyrics to express the idea of people not having a backbone, and that even with practice they can’t do anything right.

Lindemann collaborates with Julia Wolf on the last single released prior to the album. “2022” confronts the emotional toll of a relationship that seems to be fading, along with the loss of self that follows it. This single is on the haunting side, both musically and lyrically, as Lindemann and Wolf let the words shine through and sink in.

The album doesn’t lack diversity, as Lindemann includes her usual upbeat anthems while also sharing songs like “mourning” that show a more vulnerable side of her story. This raw track expresses a desire for reassurance that you know isn’t going to come. Lines like “Could you say that you love me, please just one more time” help to set the emotional tone, showing a sense of pleading, like the late-night thoughts you don’t want anyone to hear.

Lindemann doesn’t fail to remind fans of her debut album SUCKERPUNCH with this album, either, as “let me burn” featuring The Warning takes us back to the sound that she expressed on that project. The punk/alternative side of her jumps out more in this song than the others with the powerful vocals and instrumentals, which instantly remind listeners of songs like “take me nowhere” and “casualty of your dreams” from her 2022 album.

Lindemann also expresses her angry side on the 16-track album. With its powerful lyrics, “evil” could be the new angry anthem of the year. The lines “You’re acting misunderstood / the man that never knew good / you played the victim so well / like more than I ever could” help to pack a lot of depth and emotion into just a few lines. The anger sparks through these lyrics specifically as she calls out emotional manipulation, where playing the victim had been a power move but she’s now able to see right through it.

All 16 songs of i feel everything help to tell the story that Maggie Lindemann needed to share with the world. She uses her striking voice and pairs it with some deeply resonant songwriting to make sure that every song becomes an anthem that listeners can relate to when dealing with a similar experience.

From start to finish, Maggie Lindemann’s newest album is another personal narrative added to her long discography. She uses this project to express raw and unfiltered emotions, from anger to heartbreak, and everything in between.
