CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Coastal Carolina women’s tennis sophomore Brunelle Kouam earned an impressive upset victory on Friday, defeating ninth-seeded Claire Hill of North Carolina to advance to the round of 32 at the ITA Carolina Regionals.
In doubles action, both Chanticleer pairings fell short against teams from Western Carolina and UNC. Francisca Laundes dropped her singles match to Katie Codd of Duke but will continue play in the consolation bracket on Saturday.
Kouam is set to face Artemis Aslanisvilli of Clemson at 10:15 a.m. tomorrow.
