The Galaxy S26 rumors don’t seem to stop. They keep coming one after another. What seems certain, however, is that Samsung may have canceled the Galaxy S26 Edge in favor of the Galaxy S26+, further evidenced by an IMEI listing earlier today. Now, a new report claims that Samsung will delay the Galaxy S26 series launch until March, which seems plausible only in theory. Pass the salt, please.
New rumor says Galaxy S26 series will launch in March, and I feel that’d be just too late
Techmaniacs reports that the Galaxy S26 series will be delayed until March. The outlet blames ongoing issues with the development of the base Galaxy S26 model. That’s partially true, given that another report also suggests Samsung is dropping the “Pro” moniker from the base variant.
Moreover, we’ve learnt that the camera details for the base Galaxy S26 may not be final yet. That leaves plenty of room for questions and concerns. In any case, it’s hard to believe that the Galaxy S26 series could debut as late as March. For one, that would be a bit too late. And such a delay wouldn’t just impact Galaxy flagship sales, it could also hurt Samsung’s foldables.
What’s more likely, however, is that Samsung might aim for a sweet spot and roll out the Galaxy S26 series in February instead. Even a launch by the second week of February would be reasonable. For reference, the Galaxy S25 series was announced on January 22, while the Galaxy S24 debuted even earlier, on January 17.
And what else do we know?
Moreover, the report mentions that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will come with a 10-bit display, which is a step up from the current 8-bit. It says nothing substantial is coming to the camera department. But not all is bad, as it also mentions that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will support 60W charging, which would mean 0–80% charge in 30 minutes.
Other than that, the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ look set to equip the Exynos 2600. As for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, it’ll pack the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. That’s also what supply chain sources have long suggested. You may want to check up our Galaxy S26 Ultra rumor roundup!
