Razer has announced the launch of the Razer Kiyo V2 and Razer Kiyo V2 X in Australia, marking the next step forward in the company’s creator-focused webcam lineup. Both models are now available at Razer.com, RazerStores, and select retailers across the country.

The Razer Kiyo V2 is built around an 8.3MP Sony STARVIS sensor that delivers 4K recording at 30FPS, targeting streamers, content creators, and professionals who need reliable image quality without the complexity of a full camera setup. The webcam handles colour accuracy and skin tones well across different lighting conditions, and supports lossless video encoding through MJPEG, YUY2, and NV12 formats for those who need clean footage for post-production work.

Razer has partnered with Reincubate to integrate Camo Studio into the Kiyo V2 experience, bringing AI-powered features like intelligent auto-framing, background segmentation, and adaptive lighting correction into the mix. The integration works through Razer Synapse, giving users access to both automated and manual controls depending on their skill level and preferences.

The software side of things includes One-Click Image Enhancement that automatically adjusts exposure, white balance, and noise reduction without manual intervention. The AI-powered Auto Framing uses smart pan, tilt, and zoom to keep users centred in the frame, which comes in handy when you’re moving around during a stream or presentation. For those who want more control, manual adjustments for ISO, shutter speed, and white balance are available through Synapse.

Creative tools include AI-powered effects like spotlight, blur, and background replacement, along with built-in handles, overlays, and watermarking options for branding purposes. The webcam features an ultrawide angle lens that maintains clarity whether you’re zoomed in close or showing your entire setup, and High Dynamic Range support delivers better colour accuracy and contrast for more vibrant content.

The Razer Kiyo V2 X offers a more straightforward option for creators who want quality without the advanced features. It records at 1440P 60FPS, includes fast autofocus, a wide-angle lens, and a built-in microphone. The plug-and-play design makes it accessible for those who want to get started quickly, and it includes an integrated privacy shutter. Software customisation is still available through Synapse, but the focus here is on simplicity and ease of use rather than extensive manual control.

Both webcams are designed to work straight out of the box with minimal setup required, making them suitable for beginners while still offering enough depth for experienced creators who want to fine-tune their image.

The Razer Kiyo V2 is available now for A$279.95, and the Razer Kiyo V2 X retails for A$169.95. Both models can be purchased through Razer.com, RazerStores, and select retailers across Australia and New Zealand. For more information, visit https://rzr.to/kiyo-line.
