The Rice men’s tennis team saw its run at the ITA Texas Regional come to an end Sunday in College Station.
Gabriel Porras led Rice with an impressive run to the round of 16. He opened the day with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Texas A&M’s Tiago Pires before falling to Connor Van Schalkwyk of Baylor 6-2, 6-2.
The Owls will compete in the American Conference Individual Championship in Tulsa, Oklahoma, from Oct. 23-26.
