Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp is convinced that one of Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s powerful comments has had a rippling effect on the Manchester United players.
The 52-year-old former Tottenham and Liverpool midfielder dropped his two cents on Sir Jim Ratcliffe after Manchester United’s latest Premier League performance.
“I will enjoy it. I’m not dumb, I have to enjoy this moment” 😅

United were in action against fierce rivals Liverpool at Anfield and the Red Devils sealed a sensational 2-1 Premier League win on Sunday afternoon.
Bryan Mbeumo broke the deadlock in only the second minute on the weekend before Liverpool found an equaliser in the 78th minute through Cody Gakpo.
However, a sensational cross from Bruno Fernandes found Harry Maguire in the 84th minute and the 32-year-old England defender headed home the winner at Anfield.

Manchester United’s Premier League win over Liverpool provided a major boost for under-pressure Ruben Amorim after a tough start to the 2025-26 season.
Ruben Amorim had not won back-to-back Premier League matches as United manager until the Red Devils’ result at Anfield on Sunday evening.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe publicly spoke out about Amorim ahead of the Liverpool tie and the Ineos chief insisted it could take three years for the United boss to make an impact.
Jamie Redknapp believes that the comments from United co-owner Ratcliffe might have had a positive knock-on effect for the first-team Red Devils players.
“What Sir Jim Ratcliffe said on Ruben Amorim was quite unprecedented,” he told Sky Sports.
“He almost got ridiculed for it to a certain extent. But maybe it changed the whole dressing room.
“The players that maybe weren’t quite keen on Amorim, maybe Ratcliffe’s comments shut everyone up.
“He’s here, so let’s get on with it. Maybe it created a bit of togetherness.”

United are ninth in the Premier League table under Ruben Amorim, but the Red Devils are now only two points adrift from fourth-place Liverpool.
Redknapp added that United are now showing their quality in their squad through their signings, with Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha both singled out.
“Virgil van Dijk has got maybe a two-yard start on Mbeumo but he doesn’t sprint back!”

“Also, they have signed a couple of gems in terms of Mbeumo and Cunha,” he continued.
“They now have players that look like they deserve to be in a Man Utd shirt.
“They do now look, to a certain extent, a better team. They still need a few more pieces in that jigsaw, but there are more positives now.”
Matheus Cunha arrived at Old Trafford in June from Premier League side Wolves before United signed Cameroon forward Mbeumo from Brentford in July.
