What was supposed to be an offensive shootout turned into a 17-point first half, with the Lions jumping out to a 14-3 lead at the break.

Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jahmyr Gibbs provided a spark for the Lions, with St. Brown getting the scoring going on a 27-yard touchdown reception on the opening drive of the game. Gibbs started the momentum on that drive with a 30-yard reception, leading to St. Brown’s touchdown.

Gibbs has lived up to his “Sonic” nickname, scoring on a 78-yard touchdown run to put the Lions up 14-0. He has over 100 rushing yards in the first half and has 161 total. The Lions are averaging 7.1 yards per play, but they haven’t been perfect. Jared Goff has an interception and a fumble in the first half, as two Buccaneers takeaways have kept them within striking distance.

Chase McLaughlin hit a 53-yard field goal before intermission — the result of a Goff interception in the final minute of the opening 30 minutes. The Buccaneers are averaging 2.5 yards per play.

Will the Lions overcome their secondary issues and get a win at home? Or will the Buccaneers hold onto the No. 1 seed in the NFC? All of the analysis can be found in the live blog below!
