NRL Match Highlights: Bulldogs vs Sea Eagles – Round 21, 2025

Taking the field for the very first time at the brand-new Allianz Stadium, the Bulldogs took the field against Manly for the first time since their last clash in the first week of the 2024 NRL finals series. 

In doing so, they celebrated the 30-year anniversary of the 1995 Premiership triumph, with the heroes of that day returned to the scene of their famous victory.

The likes of Terry Lamb, Daryl Halligan and Rod Silva replicated their lap of honour in a fitting tribute to one of the Club’s greatest sides in one of the best sights of the season. 

Donning their 1995 Heritage Jersey, the inspired Bulldogs then put on a show for their Members and supporters in a dominant display, running in seven tries to one.

Season Highlights: The 1995 Bulldogs

It started with powerhouse front rower Sam Hughes charging to the line in the thirteenth minute, before winger Jacob Kiraz touched down after half an hour. Although the Sea Eagles struck late in the half, the Bulldogs were in full control.

After a tense opening to the second half, the momentum continued with Kiraz touching down for his second, before Bronson Xerri scored a quick fire double. 

New face Enari Tuala scored his first try in Blue and White soon after, before Hughes put the cherry on top with his second try of the night as the Bulldogs cruised home to a 42-4 win. 

As if things couldn’t get better, it also marked the Club’s 1000th first-grade victory in a Sunday afternoon to remember.
