Eddie Hall is putting the fight world on notice again — this time by releasing a clip from his latest MMA training camp, giving fans a glimpse of the power that once earned him the title of World’s Strongest Man.
The 36-year-old powerhouse, who transitioned from strongman competitions to combat sports, has made it clear that he intends to face Dillon Danis next. The two have been verbally sparring since Hall stormed the ring to challenge Danis after his quick victory over Warren Spencer at Misfits 22 earlier this year.
Now, with negotiations reportedly close to done, Hall has begun posting footage of himself pounding pads and sharpening his striking. The video shows a focused Hall, whose punches echo through the gym — a reminder of why he still holds the record for the hardest punch ever measured at the UFC Performance Institute, clocking an astonishing 208. For comparison, Alex Pereira’s previous record was 191.
“Some say Dillon’s world-class jiu-jitsu would be too much for me,” Hall wrote on Instagram. “Others say he’s never felt a real punch, and I’ve got the hardest recorded punch on the planet — fact. Who will win?”
Hall, who currently walks around at roughly 363 pounds, has confirmed he’ll have to cut a significant amount of weight to make the fight happen — an estimated 64 pounds — but he seems unfazed by the challenge. He’s reportedly targeting around 299 pounds for fight night.

A Growing Rivalry
The feud began when Danis, fresh off his first MMA bout since 2019, mocked Hall’s size, joking that the Englishman would need to “cut a few limbs off” just to make weight.
“He has to make at least UFC weight,” Danis said. “He can’t even make the UFC heavyweight limit. But if he makes it, hell yeah I’ll do it. 425 is what he wants to fight at, I’m 170. So like, come on. Make at least the UFC limit.”
Despite his initial skepticism, Danis later accepted the challenge — and even leaned into the absurdity of the weight difference.
“In a world first, I’m stepping in at 170 pounds against the World’s Strongest Man weighing 465,” Danis posted online. “That’s balls of steel. Tell me who wouldn’t pay to watch that. I’m literally gonna suplex him over the ropes. I can’t wait.”
Hall retired from professional strongman competition in 2018 after an unmatched run that saw him win World’s Strongest Man in 2017 and multiple UK and European titles. His switch to combat sports began with a boxing match against Hafthor “The Mountain” Bjornsson in 2020, followed by an experimental 2-on-1 MMA bout in 2024 — which he won — and another victory over fellow strongman Mariusz Pudzianowski at KSW 105 in 2025.
Since then, Hall has been eyeing higher-profile fights, and Danis, known for his jiu-jitsu background and brash personality, seems the perfect target.
While no official date or venue has been confirmed, Hall insists that the bout will follow standard MMA rules, including striking, grappling, and kicking — with fouls for any prohibited moves. Misfits has reportedly shown interest in staging the match for its MMA championship.
For now, Hall’s message to Danis is simple: he’s already preparing.
“Coming soon,” he teased on social media alongside clips of his striking sessions.
The combat sports world remains divided — many are intrigued, others skeptical — but few can deny that a showdown between a 465-pound strongman and a 170-pound submission specialist would be one of the most unusual MMA spectacles ever booked.
