After appeal, the one-game suspension for Denver Broncos inside linebacker Dre Greenlaw has been upheld by the NFL, league spokesman Michael Signora confirmed on Tuesday evening.

The NFL initially announced the suspension on Monday after alleging that Greenlaw chased and “verbally threatened” an official following the team’s game against the New York Giants on Sunday.

After kicker Wil Lutz converted a 39-yard game-winning field goal on Sunday, referee Brad Allen was quickly surrounded by Broncos players, and video from the incident appears to show Allen push linebacker Justin Strnad away from him during the commotion. After that, Greenlaw is shown running up to Allen, yelling at him. Greenlaw then left, and Allen threw a flag.

Greenlaw will now miss Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys, and he’ll lose a game check. Greenlaw will be eligible to return against the Houston Texans in Week 9. Before making his 2025 debut against the Giants, Greenlaw missed the first six games of the season with a quad injury. Alex Singleton and Justin Strnad will start against Dallas.
