A James Packer-backed development group founded by former Richmond president Clinton Casey has bid for Crown’s private golf course, a move that could see it become the new home for members of a south-east Melbourne club.
Capital Golf Course is reserved for the casino’s highest-paying customers and celebrities, including Tiger Woods, but has struggled since the COVID-19 pandemic and a regulatory crackdown that has driven wealthy gamblers away.
