Port Adelaide will be out to give outgoing coach Ken Hinkley a fitting send-off against their cross-town rivals on Saturday night, as they take on a red-hot Adelaide in Showdown 58.

The Crows (13-5, 139.6%) are now within striking distance of the top two and — by extension the minor premiership — and still comfortably hold the league’s best percentage.

As for the Power (8-10, 88%), they’ll be playing for pride and loyalty to long-time coach Hinkley, who will coach in his 25th and final Showdown as he exits Alberton at the end of this season.

Adelaide has won four of their last five games against Port Adelaide, and maintained a stellar 9-1 record at Adelaide Oval this season.

The sizzling Crows initially went in unchanged from last Sunday’s 61-point destruction of Gold Coast, however Isaac Cumming reported leg soreness on Friday morning before being withdrawn. Brayden Cook is his replacement, back from concussion.

As for the Power, skipper Connor Rozee has recovered from a fractured hand and returns to the senior side. Pressure forward Jed McEntee has also been recalled for the Power, with Willie Rioli out of the team for a second straight week.

The first bounce will hit the Adelaide Oval turf at 7:40pm local time in the city of churches, with the substitutes and final teams for each side to be confirmed an hour beforehand.

Watch it live on Fox Footy (channel 503), and streaming on Kayo, from 8pm AEST.
