The Eels are looking to add a second former Storm star to their roster for 2026, with the club reportedly interested in hulking prop Nelson Asofa-Solomona.
Just days after Parramatta picked up Jonah Pezet, it has been revealed by Code Sports that Asofa-Solomona could follow the halfback to Kellyville.
Asofa-Solomona and the Storm came to a mutual decision to let the prop be released from his contract two years early.

While there aren’t many middle forwards in the NRL that is as impactful as Asofa-Solomona when he’s in form, his ill-discipline proved costly for Melbourne over the past two seasons.
He missed the 2024 and 2025 grand finals due to suspension.
It’s believed that rugby union is the favourite to snare the signature of Asofa-Solomona for next season with breakaway R360 and Japanese rugby both interested.
However, Asofa-Solomona, who is in New Zealand camp for the Pacific Championships, has said he is keeping his options open.
That could potentially mean there’s a realistic chance the 29-year-old links up with former Storm assistant Jason Ryles in Parramatta.
I could not tell you what I’m going to do … I need to sit down, write things out, and make a sound decision, but I’m not closing the door on league or rugby,” he said on a NZ radio station.
