The number of companies on the S&P/ASX 200 Index that have returned triple digits this year is at the highest level in six years as investors chase the dazzling bull run that fund managers warn has pushed share prices to unsustainable levels.

As the local bourse scaled a fresh record high this week above 9100 points, data compiled by The Australian Financial Review showed 19 of the gauge’s 200 companies have delivered total returns of at least 100 per cent year to date.
