Lamar Jackson was a full participant in Friday’s practice with the Baltimore Ravens after being limited on Wednesday and Thursday. The quarterback is working his way back from a hamstring injury suffered during a Sept. 28 game against the Kansas City Chiefs that caused him to miss two games.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh would not say if Jackson will play Sunday against the Chicago Bears, but the two-time NFL MVP is listed as “questionable” on the team’s Friday injury report.

“I just think we’re going to talk about it as we go and figure out what we got to do to try to win the game,” Harbaugh said, via ESPN’s Jamison Hensley. “I mean, that’s really what we’re going to try to do. What’s our best opportunity to win the football game on Sunday? Where does everybody stand? Including No. 8 [Jackson].”

Backup Cooper Rush started in Jackson’s absence in a 44-10 loss to the Houston Texans and the 17-3 loss to the Rams. The Ravens benched Rush as they failed to score a touchdown against the Rams. They replaced him with third-string quarterback Tyler Huntley in the fourth quarter of a game in which the Ravens got booed by their home fans.

As we wait to hear about Jackson’s status, one quarterback who definitely won’t play this week is Jayden Daniels of the Washington Commanders.

The second-year signal caller is dealing with a low-grade right hamstring strain, according to head coach Dan Quinn. An MRI on Monday showed no long-term damage after Daniels injured it during last week’s loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

Marcus Mariota will start his third game this season in place of Daniels.

There was some good news for the Commanders on Thursday as wide receivers Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel were full participants in practice. McLaurin has missed four games with a quad injury, while Samuel sat out Week 7 with a heel ailment.

The ankle injury that Bryce Young suffered last week against the New York Jets has kept him out of practice this week and made it likely we see Andy Dalton start against the Buffalo Bills. Young, deemed “doubtful” on Friday, tried to remain positive this week about playing in Week 8: “Making progress each day, feeling better. Just trusting the training staff.”

Brock Purdy may be close to returning to the San Francisco 49ers, but it doesn’t seem like it will be this week against the Houston Texans. 49ers general manager John Lynch said on Thursday that a timeline is still TBD, but that the team is encouraged by Purdy’s progress.

Christian Watson is close to returning to the Green Bay Packers for the first time since suffering a torn ACL in Week 18 last season. His 21-day practice window was opened on Oct. 6 and he is eager to return to the field Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. “That’s my plan,” said Watson on Wednesday. “I say it every week; obviously just leaving it up to the trainers, but my goal and my plan is to play this week.”
