The new season of the Central European Women’s Basketball League CEWL has begun in the Czech Republic.
In the group stage, the Slovak club Ruzomberok defeated Polish Polonia by a score of 79-70.
The Ukrainian forward Olha Yatskovets was the top scorer in the game: in 32 minutes on the court she tallied 30 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 steal.
CEWL Start Overview and the Involvement of Ukrainian Clubs
The tournament will also feature the Ukrainian champions from the Ivano-Frankivsk club Frankivsk-Prykarpattya. Under the guidance of Yuriy Protsyuk, they will play their opening match on October 25 against Czech BC Trutnov.
The CEWL competition opens new opportunities for Ukrainian teams and provides a chance to showcase their abilities on the international stage, gathering talents from different countries.
