OMAHA, Neb. – Ali Frarokhmanesh and Colorado State men’s basketball didn’t take the easy route when it came to scheduling their exhibition before the 2025-26 season. The Rams battled No. 22 Creighton Saturday night, falling 76-64.

Down four at the break, CSU’s offense struggled at times in the second half, shooting 34.4% allowing the Bluejays to pull away from the Rams.

How it Happened
– CSU’s defense showed up early in the game, holding Creighton without a field goal for a stretch of 6:13 to take a six-point lead midway through the first half.
– The teams battled back and forth the rest of the first 20 minutes as Kyle Jorgensen caught fire to end it with a pair of 3s in the final 2:15.
– Creighton hit a half-court buzzer beater to lead 37-33 at the break.
– The Bluejays hit a pair of 3-pointers early in the second half to go up eight and keep the game at that margin for most of the final 20 minutes.
– CSU never gave in, battling back with a 7-0 run with 2:16 left in the game to cut the deficit to six, but never any closer than that.

Game Notes
Brandon Rechsteiner lead the Rams with 14 points on the night.
– Jorgensen finished the game with 12 points, four rebounds and three assists off the bench.
Josh Pascarelli was the third CSU player to reach double figures with 10 points.
– Newcomer Carey Booth finished a point and rebound shy of a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds.
– Colorado State did a good job taking care of the ball with just five turnovers on the night.
