On Friday, Netflix released “Happy Gilmore 2,″ the highly anticipated sequel to the 1996 golf comedy “Happy Gilmore” starring Adam Sandler.

In this newest installment, a new lucrative opportunity pushes underdog golfer Happy Gilmore (Sandler) to come out of golf retirement in an attempt to earn enough money to finance his daughter’s ballet classes.

The film features multiple celebrity cameos from stars like Travis Kelce, Eminem, Post Malone, Bad Bunny, among others. There’s also one unexpected appearance from late Disney actor Cameron Boyce — but not in the way you would think.

While “Happy Gilmore 2” was filmed after Boyce’s tragic death in 2019, the film honored the late star by playing an clip from the Disney Channel original series “Jessie,” where Boyce played the character Luke.

In this thoughtful scene, Gilmore is seen walking up to the golf course check-in booth where the attendant is watching “Jessie” from a small TV on their desk. For a quick blip of time, Boyce’s character Luke is seen front-and-center. It’s a very easy moment to miss, but one fan captured the moment in a TikTok video.

Sandler previously worked with Boyce in the “Grown Ups” franchise, where Boyce played his on-screen son.

This isn’t the first time Sandler paid tribute to Boyce in one of his films. The “Billy Madison” alum honored him in his 2020 film “Hubie Halloween” by including a photo of Boyce and a message at the end of the credits. “Gone way too soon and one of the kindest, coolest, funniest, and most talented kids we knew. You live on forever in our hearts and are truly missed every day,” read the message.

Boyce passed away in 2019 at the age of 20 due to an epileptic seizure. He is best known for his roles on “Jessie” and in the “Descendants” franchise. In addition to appearing in both “Grown Ups” films, he also starred in “Mirrors” and “Eagle Eye.”

“Happy Gilmore 2″ is now streaming on Netflix.
