The woman who allegedly had an affair with Stranger Things star David Harbour has addressed his ex-wife Lily Allen’s new album, which alludes to the actor cheating on her.

Lily, 40, dropped her new album, West End Girl, on October 24, and many of the tracks detail the collapse of her marriage to Harbour, 50. In one scathing song titled Tenni, Lily sings about coming home to find sexual texts on her husband’s phone, and allegedly switches up her voice to mimic the costume designer who, she refers to as ‘Madeline.’

Now, it has been reported that the woman Lily is singing about is Natalie Tippett, a 34-year-old single mom who allegedly met Harbour when they were both working on the film We Have a Ghost.

Speaking to the Daily Mail from her home in New Orleans, Natalie said of Lily’s new album and specific tracks, “Of course I’ve heard the song.”

“But I have a family and things to protect. I have a two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, and I understand this is going on. It’s a little bit scary for me,” she added.

The chorus of the song in question sings, “So I read your text, and now I regret it / I can’t get my head ’round how you’ve been playing tennis / If it was just sex, I wouldn’t be jealous / You won’t play with me and who’s Madeline?”

Natalie was asked by the outlet if she knew that the contents of her texts were going to be included in the release, to which she replied, “Yeah. I just don’t feel comfortable talking about it at the moment.”

Across the 14 new tracks, Lily claims that her ex, David, lied to other women about having an “open” relationship with her so he could be unfaithful to her in their marriage. The pair married in 2020 after meeting on the celebrity dating app Raya and divorced four years later.

Allen and Harbour split in January, with reports stating they had separated in December, and Lily spent Christmas in Kenya alone with her children. She opened up about the split on her Miss Me? podcast with her close friend Miquita Oliver.

At the time, she shared that she was suffering from panic attacks and was taking “time out.” She said, “I’m finding it hard to be interested in anything. I’m really not in a good place. I know I’ve been talking about it for months, but I’ve been spiraling and spiraling. It’s got out of control. I can’t concentrate on anything except the pain I’m going through. It’s really hard.”

Reports claimed that the singer checked into an £8,000-a-week trauma treatment center after telling friends she was close to a nervous breakdown. Speaking to British Vogue this month, she confessed it had been hard not to turn to “drugs and alcohol” to cope with the divorce.

Allen has been sober for five years and admitted in an interview that in the past her addiction problems were so bad she couldn’t remember having “sober sex” until she met Harbour. She also admitted that her earliest memories involved drink and drugs, and claimed that she watched her dad, Keith Allen, snort cocaine.

She told Vogue of the divorce, “The last time that I felt anything like that, drugs and alcohol were my way out, so it was excruciating to sit with those [feelings] and not to use them.”

Harbour was asked about their split by GQ in April but declined to comment, saying it would encourage “a salacious s— show of humiliation.”
