Earlier this week, the NFL, following a joint investigation with the NFLPA, fined the New York Giants organization $200,000 for violating concussion protocol during a Week 6 game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday Night Football.
In addition to the team fine, head coach Brian Daboll was fined $100,000, and rookie running back Cam Skattebo was fined $15,000.

The punishment stemmed from Daboll and Skattebo illegally entering the blue medical tent while rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart was being evaluated for a concussion.
“I don’t really got any comments. I’m just glad Jaxson’s healthy,” Skattebo told reporters this week. “They took action; it’s over with.”
Unfortunately for Skattebo, that wasn’t the last time he heard from the NFL this week.
In addition to his $15,000 fine for “conduct detrimental to the league,” the NFL has also slapped Skattebo with a $6,157 fine for “unnecessary roughness” in the fourth quarter of a Week 7 loss to the Denver Broncos. They labeled the infraction “striking/kicking/tripping/kneeing.”

The violation occurred during Dart’s fourth-quarter interception but did not result in a penalty on the field.
In addition to Skattebo, the NFL also fined running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. $5,731 for “unnecessary roughness,” alleging “use of the helmet” early in the first quarter. The play in question was a two-yard run on first-and-10 and, like Skattebo, did not result in a penalty on the field.
For Tracy, it was his first fine of the season.
