Sporting achieved their second consecutive victory against FC Porto, winning again at Dragão Arena by 108-88, this Saturday, in the first round of Group B of the Hugo dos Santos Cup in basketball.

Without Miguel Queiroz, Tanner Omlid, Axel Toupane, Gonçalo Delgado, Marko Filipovity, and Allen Flaming, the blue-and-whites could not withstand the power of the Lions and were defeated by 20 points. Although FC Porto won the first quarter by 27-25, by halftime the advantage belonged to Sporting: 48-40.

Sporting continued to increase the difference and, by the end of the third period, they were already leading 68-82, finishing the match at 108-88.

A heavy defeat for FC Porto, who had already lost at the same Dragão Arena to Sporting by 76-82, in a league match.

For Sporting, Malik Morgan stood out with 28 points, 11 assists, and nine rebounds. On the blue-and-whites’ side, Jalen Riley was one of the best, with 25 points, four assists, and two rebounds.
