Cooper Flagg appears to be figuring things out three games into his NBA career.
The Dallas Mavericks rookie put together his best outing so far in a 139-129 win over the Toronto Raptors on Sunday. He dropped 22 points on 8-of-14 shooting, adding four rebounds, four assists and a block.
It’s still early, but fans are liking what they’re seeing from Flagg.
Flagg had a decent NBA debut against the San Antonio Spurs with 10 points, but he looked a bit uncomfortable and hit just four of his 13 shot attempts. He improved in his second game with 18 points, six assists and five boards, and now he has a new career high.
Flagg will have nights like Sunday, where he looks like an emerging star, but just like any rookie, he may also have some games where he reminds fans that he’s 18 years old and still has some developing to do.
After his performance against the Raptors, it’s easy to see why Flagg got as much hype as he did, and he’ll look to continue shining early.
